It's nearly that time again...

It's nearly that time of year again...this year the dates and days in March are the same as they were in 2003, the year the boys were born. It was Monday morning that I woke to the stream of amniotic waters trickling. It was that afternoon that I was flown to Ottawa where we were told the boys' slim chances of survival. It was Tuesday morning that I went into labour and gave birth to my little Josh. It was Wednesday when I developed a fever and needed to be induced to give birth to Jonah. It was Wednesday evening he was born. It was Wednesday evening that we were told that they could do nothing further for Josh. It was Thursday that we said "good-bye" to our first son. It was the next 29 days that we rode a roller-coaster of emotions with Jonah until he went to join his brother at Jesus' side. It's been 5 years of remembering and healing.

One of my friends started a ministry of retouching photos of babies who have passed away. This year I sent her some of the boys' pictures. These pictures are ones she worked on. This is her website: http://personal.nbnet.nb.ca/crempel/Heartprints/
Thank you Heidi. You've truly given us a gift.

So, I move into this week remembering my sweet little boys and their short lives. I never truly know what this week will be like for me from year to year. Abby wants to have a birthday party to celebrate her brothers' birthdays. We've decided to make cupcakes with kitty faces (Abby REALLY likes kitties, so thinks Josh and Jonah will as well). She told me that she thinks the angels will make them a birthday cake in Heaven. I'd like to think so too :)
